If Season 1 felt like a modern take on the Golden Age of Superman mixed with anime, then Season 2 is like a modern twist on the Silver Age of Superman, building on everything that made Season 1 great. Season 2 of *My Adventures with Superman* does an amazing job expanding Superman's lore. By introducing Supergirl, delving deeper into Clark's Kryptonian heritage, exploring Krypton's past, and featuring Brainiac, the show fills out the universe in exciting ways. Seeing what happened to Thanagar and the Green Lanterns gives the sense that anything can happen next—maybe even the formation of the Justice League or the Justice Society! Story: The store is like a mixture of a slice of life anime and Superman. Which in itself sounds like a mess, but adult swim knocked out of the park. The show starts off similarly to superman the animated series, with a small showing of young child Clark Kent as he discovers his powers. He discovers them as he runs to rescue a woman whose car was going to crash into a tree, his instincts kick in and he pulls the car back. He then flies to get his stuck kite out of a tree because he’s still a kid. We then flash forward to adult Clark Kent on his first day at the daily planet, he wakes up and says to himself. “I hope today is a normal day” but then uses his powers to rescue a lost cat.
