Dead Or Alive 2 turns 25 today!

Image
copyright: Dead Or Alive, and Dead Or alive 2 are property of Tecmo Brevity and Ethics: I have no affiliation with dead or alive or Tecmo Today marks the 25th anniversary of one of the most stylish and dynamic fighting games ever made. Dead or Alive 2 seamlessly blended fast-paced ninja action with unique mechanics that set it apart from the competition. With its high-energy tag-team battles that let players switch fighters mid-combo and captivating storylines, it quickly became a fan favorite. I still remember when my friend brought over his Dreamcast after a Cub Scout meeting, and we spent hours figuring out the game as excited seven-year-olds. We might not have grasped the complexities of the combat (or the more, let’s say, notable features), but we knew one thing for sure—Ryu Hayabusa was incredibly cool.

capcom countdown reveal blunder

Side bar:  We also did a reaction trailer. Watch here: watch the announcement and procup here Ethics and brevity :    i have no connection or association to capcom or street fighter Copyright: redearth, darkstalkers, street fighter and cyberbots are all property of capcom Story: I won't sugar coat it. This has been the biggest let down in Capcom history. Especially with all the hype and wonder. Just to end the way it did. So,  let's talk about all of it. What i liked:  Capcom ported all three darkstalkers, cyberbots,  street fighter collection, puzzle   fighter, AND  FUCKIGN REDEARTH of all games  On to modern consoles meaning that. We can finally play these games legally, giving them a new audience, and a new way to play them. They also announced that these games would be online play. And all have rollback netcode. Street Fighter 35th Anniversary predictions

Image
Ethics and brevity: I have no affiliation or connections to Capcom or Street Fighter. I am just a fan Story: On J anuary 10th, 2022 Capcom released the logo for the 35th anniversary of Street fighter. And so far,  nothing else. The logo itself s ok, it looks like they are emulating the comic con logo, (Photo comparison by me) It did, however, get me thinking. If anything will be announced on august 30th, what will be announced,  Predictions: My first two are going to be pipe dream.  Marvel vs capcom 4: With the reception that Marvel vs Capcom infinite Disney more than likely won't allow capcom to touch marvel, let alone announce one at the Street Fighter anniversary.  Capcom crossover fighter While this one is more feasible, this would imply that Capcom would allow any other fighting game aside from Street Fighter and Marvel it would be a great moment for Capcom to redeem Capcom Fighting All-Stars Street Fighter V: all costume and dlc ...

In the interview the developer stated they are considering a steam port of Virtua fighter 5. That it would be difficult to remake the game, but it is possible in the future. Later on in the interview he was asked if there is going to be a future title. He stated Sega’s roadmap is full for the fiscal year, and a new game is being considered.  Some smaller bits of information that was mentioned in the interview that wasnt related to Virtua fighter but it is neat to think about. Including such information was the development of the free-to-play mecha game “Border Break” and how it's an entirely different game t...

Metal and Lace; the most difficult fighting game you never played

Image
brevity and ethics:  I have no affiliation with megatech. I played the patched version that removes the passwheel since the game is not available to be purchased and every downloadable version ive found was the patched version Copyright:   metal and lace seems to be deemed abandonware, however megatech was the creator of that Backstory:  I found this via Scott the Woz’s gift of gaming video , and was intrigued by it. I was 100% under the assumption that this game was a hentai game and played it as such.  Boy was I wrong. So, so, so wrong. The game is an old passcode wheel, dos game. So once you exit the passcode screen and start its a point and click game where everything is just, a click away.  Story: The story itself is pretty basic, Its’ from ye old times before big budget stories could be told in fighting games. But the story we do get is pretty cool all things considered. The story is that you pay a lot of money to go to an island called MeCha. On MeCha the...
