My Adventures With Superman season 2
brevity and ethics: I have no affiliations with superman or dc comics.
Season 2 of *My Adventures with Superman* (or as some call it, *Tomboy Sweat featuring Superman*) has wrapped up, and I have to say, it was incredible! If Season 1 felt like a modern take on the Golden Age of Superman mixed with anime, then Season 2 is like a modern twist on the Silver Age of Superman, building on everything that made Season 1 great.
Season 2 of *My Adventures with Superman* does an amazing job expanding Superman's lore. By introducing Supergirl, delving deeper into Clark's Kryptonian heritage, exploring Krypton's past, and featuring Brainiac, the show fills out the universe in exciting ways. Seeing what happened to Thanagar and the Green Lanterns gives the sense that anything can happen next—maybe even the formation of the Justice League or the Justice Society! The best part is, all this expansion doesn't detract from what makes *MAWS* special: Superman's humanity.
The entire season built up two main themes: Kara Zor-El and the alienation an alien would feel on Earth. Despite having friends and a girlfriend, Clark still struggled with understanding his true identity. Everyone around him was making big moves—Jimmy became the leader and president of the Daily Planet's video department, and Lois got an opportunity to work for Gotham City's biggest news team, which made her want to push Clark away. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor convinced the people of Metropolis that Superman is a menace to be defeated. Everything was crashing down on our Superman. That's when the other shoe drops: Kara, Clark's cousin, is under Brainiac's control and conquering worlds in the name of Krypton. Brainiac's assault on Earth raises a crucial question: What's a Kryptonian to do when the world is against them? The answer is simple: their best.
This show is full of hope and love, delivering a message that resonates with everyone, whether you're a Superman fan, an anime fan, or just someone who loves a good story. *My Adventures with Superman* is a show that says love wins, and love will always win. that fighting for the greater good will always be the right answer, even when your own loved ones are against you.
The storytelling is incredible, the acting is amazing, and the animation is stunning. The fluid animation style is reminiscent of anime like *Gurren Lagann*. It's a show I highly recommend!
