Pokemon Celebrates 30 years of Catching them all

copyright: Pokemon is property of Nintendo and Gamefreak, all rights reserved. brevity and ethics: i have no affiliation, im just a fan. Today, Nintendo celebrates a remarkable milestone: Pokémon , the monster-catching adventure RPG, turns 30. Thirty years of exploring worlds, catching creatures, facing God-like beings, confronting shadowy mafias, and even taking on terrorists a franchise that has truly done it all. I wanted to take a moment to look back at some of the stories that have stayed closest to my heart over the years, reflecting on the games that shaped my experiences though I’ll be skipping Generation 4, as it doesn’t hold the same personal connection for me as the others. Pokemon Red: Growing up without much meant I missed out on experiencing Pokémon at the height of its day-one mania. I wasn’t there for the midnight launches or the playground trading frenzies. But I did grow up watching the Pokémon anime, and I absolutely loved it enough that my brothers took notic...

The legend of zelda hits a monumental

Image
Let’s fill our hearts and look back swinging with power, on this monumental gaming anniversary. Everyone seems to have a story about the first time they played The Legend of Zelda . It’s practically a gaming rite of passage. Like many players, my formal introduction to the series came through Ocarina of Time . Yet I vividly remember the moment I first experienced the original the grandfather of Hylian, “definitely-not-an-elf” adventures. My entry point, however, wasn’t an NES or an SNES. It was the Game Boy Advance. Picture it: Christmas morning, the mid-2000s. My grandmother knew I loved video games, even if she didn’t quite know which ones. What she did know was that I “had a Nintendo,” and that was enough. Under the tree were a few new games and among them was the Game Boy Advance re-release of the very first Legend of Zelda . At the time, I didn’t realize I was unwrapping a piece of gaming history. I just knew I was about to begin an adventure, one that, decades later, s...

copytight: Digimon is property of Bandai-Namco and Toei.  brevity and ethics: I have no affiliation with Digimon or Bandai-Namco and Toei, im just a fan The Digimon universe is packed with an incredible variety of creatures—ranging from the downright bizarre (yes, even poop-themed Digimon) to the awe-inspiringly epic. Whether you're into dragon-like beasts , demonic overlords , holy warriors , or Arthurian-style knights , Digimon has a design to match every aesthetic. With so many iconic and imaginative designs to choose from, narrowing it down is no easy feat—but in this list, I’m diving into my Top 10 favorite badass Digimon that truly stand out from the Digital World crowd. 10. gallantmon: #10 – Gallantmon & Gallantmon Crimson Mode: The Knight of Digital Chivalry When it comes to designing a badass hero or anti-hero , one of the most tried-and-true aesthetics is the knight motif —and few Digimon embody that better than Gallantmon . Emerging from humble beginnin...

Copyright: Nintendo direct is property of Nintendo, power rangers is property of Saban, delta rune and undertale are property of toby fox Brevity and ethics: I have no affiliation with Nintendo or mentioned games I am just a fan The Nintendo Direct is always an exciting event, packed with updates on upcoming games and thrilling new releases. One standout segment is the Partner Showcase, where Nintendo shines a light on third-party and indie games coming to their platforms Hollow Knight: silk son Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: But let’s not dwell on missed opportunities. The world of gaming is brimming with possibilities, and one title that stands out as a potential Switch arrival is the beloved indie game, *Deltarune*. Given Nintendo’s past enthusiasm for *Undertale*, which received a warm welcome on their platforms and even a major announcement for the Switch, it’s reasonable to expect that if the next chapter of *Deltarune* is nearing release, it could make its debut du...

Pokemon Day hoping

Image
copyright: Pokemon is property of gamefreak and nintendo. Normally, with big events and conventions we want to put our best foot forward and make predictions about what we think might happen or what we would like to see. But with Pokemon and Nintendo, it's hard to really predict anything. If we follow things like leaks we can say "oh, cool, a re-remake of Pokemon Gold and Silver." But what I really want, and this is my Best Wish for Pokemon, is that they surprise us with something expected, but what we really want.  But I actually want something different for Pokemon. While a Gen 5 remake is definitely a possibility, I think expanding the lore and world of Unova in a Pokemon Legends Kyurem game would be a fun route to take. It would give players the chance to explore more of the region's rich history and culture, and it would give us a unique perspective on Kyurem's role in Unova's past. Let's hope that Pokemon has something unexpected in store for us. Als...
