This week has been monumental for X-Men fans. From Marvel’s competitors launching their own Jean Grey-focused stories to the unveiling of a brand-new Hellfire Gala, and the emotional tributes to the fallen mutants of Krakoa, it’s been a whirlwind of revelations and reflection.

Among the most talked-about developments is the surprising spotlight on Storm’s child. While Ororo Munroe—better known as Storm—has had children in alternate realities before, this newest storyline has fans speculating about potential canon implications.

In past media, we’ve seen Storm as a mother in several alternate timelines:

• In What if  The Beyoner recruits Torrent, the Daughter of Wolverine and Storm in another Battleworld.

• In Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, Storm and Black Panther are the parents of Azari.

• In Earth-18115, she and Thor have a powerful daughter known as Thunderstorm.

Storm's maternal roles across multiversal storylines highlight a consistent theme—her nurturing nature. Whether at the X-Mansion, Krakoa, or Avengers Tower, she has always been a protector and caretaker, not just of nature but of those closest to her. It’s no surprise that the idea of her having a child continues to resonate with fans and creators alike.

As this story unfolds, one thing is clear: Storm’s legacy—as a leader, a goddess, and potentially a mother—is only growing stronger. 

What makes this new development even more fascinating is that Storm’s daughter in Earth-616 (Marvel’s main continuity) comes with some intriguing timeline and genetic curiosities.

For instance, while Storm is famously known for her pure white eyes, especially when using her powers, some artists over the years have depicted her with blue or glowing blue irises, possibly for stylistic or storytelling emphasis. Interestingly, her daughter is shown with similar blue eyes—potentially a nod to that artistic interpretation. However, you know who else has blue eyes? But perhaps the most striking difference is the hair. Storm’s signature white hair, long and flowing, is iconic. Her daughter, on the other hand, has wild, jet-black hair—a detail that opens up speculation about her paternity. In Marvel lore, there are two main candidates who fit the timeline and genetics: T'Challa (Black Panther) and Logan (Wolverine).

Given Storm’s romantic history with both, it’s difficult to pin down who the father might be without further canonical confirmation. She has shared deep, emotional bonds with both men—T’Challa through marriage and royalty, and Logan through shared battles, mutual respect, and quiet intimacy. “Who’s the Father?” — The Fandom’s Biggest Question

With Storm’s daughter now part of the Earth-616 conversation, one question is echoing across the fandom: “Who is the father?” And honestly, it doesn’t take Maury Povich to figure out that Marvel probably won’t give us a straight answer anytime soon.

That hasn’t stopped fans from playing detective.

Let’s break down what we do know:

• Storm traditionally has glowing white eyes, especially when channeling her powers. Some artistic interpretations have shown her with blue eyes, but that’s far less common in canon.

• Her daughter has bright blue eyes and untamed, jet-black hair—a stark contrast to Storm’s flowing white locks.

Genetically and visually, the clues don’t point to T’Challa. While Storm and Black Panther have a well-documented relationship—including a royal marriage—the wild hair and piercing eyes don’t match his features. In contrast, the hair and eye color are far more reminiscent of Logan (Wolverine): dark, unkempt, intense.

Given Logan’s long, emotionally complex relationship with Storm—often filled with tension, tenderness, and deep trust—he seems like the most likely candidate. But the Marvel Universe rarely makes things that simple.

(seriously, these two have been so off again on again, that they made fun of it in Storm's ongoing a few times, and when she died shew almost destroyed the world because her emotions, she didnt have that reaction when tchalla divorced her)
