Metal and Lace; the most difficult fighting game you never played

Backstory: 

I found this via Scott the Woz’s gift of gaming video, and was intrigued by it. I was 100% under the assumption that this game was a hentai game and played it as such.  Boy was I wrong. So, so, so wrong. The game is an old passcode wheel, dos game. So once you exit the passcode screen and start its a point and click game where everything is just, a click away. 

Story:

The story itself is pretty basic, Its’ from ye old times before big budget stories could be told in fighting games. But the story we do get is pretty cool all things considered. The story is that you pay a lot of money to go to an island called MeCha. On MeCha they have robot war style tournaments which you can enter. Before you enter however you need a robot, the robot i chose was a free Sun-c1 that the floor gave me when i tapped on it several times. 

When you enter it becomes a tournament fighter style fighting game a la “Street Fighter '' or “Samurai Shodown”. However unlike those you can choose who you fight against separately unlike a random select. Like most fighting games you have to win a best of two, except it's very forgiving that you can leave and come back to the fight and challenge them as many times as you can. Which is very forgiving for how balls hard this game is. These girls must be into femdom because the over and over again curb stomped me into the ground. 

Once you eventually beat the pantheon of waifus you are then challenged to a champion fight against the world champion of MeCha, Jamal.

Jamal is a rehash of the girls you fight already except you have to beat him three times. Once you beat them you are now the grand robo waifu champion.

Mechanics:

Combat:  

The combat is a very fluid three button fighting game, for a dos fighting game. You have punches:

grabs:

and a special attack.:

Before the fights you can bribe a small child to give you information on your opponent's mech. I personally just giving the child a 50$ so they’ll tell me what mech it is. which is super useful for planning things out

before fights you can refuel your robot's batteries and other eternal stat

“h -scenes”:

So the game does have some h scenes, sorta. You can talk to the girls and they’ll say a line and leave. 

Update: There are two versions, a 13 and an 18 version. The version I ended up playing was the 13 y.o version. The 18+ version has porn in it. 

Good:

Combat is good. 

robot designs are nice

Bad:

Normal mode is ball hard, and easy mode is too easy. 

Overall thoughts: 

the game is really fun, a bit too hard, i had to come up with a stratagy of blocking low and low kicking like it was samurai shodown. that being said its still really fun. the doofy pornograph the designs are really nice and i feel like this should have gotten more popular than it needed to be
