Sony purchases Bungie for 3.6$ billion

In recent events from the Neo-console wars. Sony has purchased Bungie games for 3.6 billion dollars. This is a move no one saw coming. However this could spell an interesting turn of events. With Bungie at their side Sony can finally have their own “Halo Killer”. But even after that fun fan wandering washes away it gives you a sense of fear, that any company can and will be bought out as companies will create a monopoly to control an entire industry. I hope this trend of companies buying other companies for clout ends.

I hope that this ends with this purchase. That we don't have to fear becoming a “Hardrive'' article where we only have 6 companies. I fear that this trend will continue and we will have to actually chose one console to support one company we like. For example , if Sony buys Capcom and Microsoft buys Konami, we would have to choose between the two third party companies just to enjoy one game in the oceans of games from the company. On a system we might not even want to have or like
