Sony kicked off their State of Play showcase with a detailed look at Stellar Blade, their upcoming action-packed hack-n-slash game. Though it featured only snippets of gameplay and story elements, what was shown looked like a promising start to the event. The combat system was polished and fluid, with dynamic combos and a diverse range of devastating attacks that will surely satisfy any diehard fan of the genre. While the trailer didn't reveal everything that the game has to offer, it was enough to build excitement for the upcoming release. Also ass, a lot of ass, so much ass

Sonic x Shadow generations:

Sega's State of Play trailer got off to a blazing start with the rumored announcement of a Sonic Generations remaster. The graphics looked stunning and the gameplay showed potential. However, nobody anticipated that it would actually be a Trojan horse to re-canonize Shadow the Hedgehog. In a cleverly crafted twist, the trailer then showed Shadow crossing paths with both Classic and Modern Sonic, culminating in his transformation into Shadow the Hedgehog. While the trailer was short and the gameplay sparse, it did leave us wanting more.

It was a true throwback to the early 2000s when Sega attempted to give Sonic a dark and edgy twist by creating his gun-toting arch-nemesis Shadow the Hedgehog. However, the edge-lord approach failed when Shadow's character development took a different route. The scene where Shadow had to hunt down the Black Monster was also an amusing nod to his past life as an anti-hero with questionable morals. A nostalgic throwback and unexpected plot twist in one trailer, quite something, indeed! While I understand and x in japanese media means cross, I cant help but to see Sonic X Shadow as a means of a slash fic where shadow and sonic are going to have sex

Z.Z.Z:

No, not the sounds you make to pretend you are sleeping - but a game called Zoneless Zone Zero, an action-packed yet vaguely furry anime-style action game. This colorful and vibrant world is filled with equally colorful characters. The gameplay, with its fluid and dynamic combinations, is truly a sight to behold. From the trailers, it's clear that this action-packed game will provide an incredible gaming experience with tons of eye-popping visuals and heart-pumping fights.

Originally on the IOS and microsoft computer and xbox, we welcome some more refreshing third parties to the sony family

Foamstars:

Sony got the State of Play underway with a sneak peek at Foam Party, their wacky party shooter. The trailer gave us a small taste of the game's unique gameplay dynamics, reminding us that Foam Party has not gone anywhere. With its bright colors, wacky characters, and fun-filled atmosphere, Foam Party promises to provide pure and mindless mayhem, just as Sony had promised. While the trailer only provided us with a small glimpse of what's to come, it was enough to get the hype train moving.

V Rising:

V Rising has a unique vampire aesthetic that sets it apart from the typical dungeon crawler, blending a vampire theme with traditional top-down mechanics. While the trailer didnt showcase quite a bit of storytelling, it also contained a wealth of impressive action pieces that truly captured a sense of power and beauty. From the intricate combos and combat scenes to the incredible visual designs of the environment and characters, V Rising looks to be a promising adventure that's worth sinking your teeth into.

Silent Hill the short message:

The trailer for Silent Hill: The Short Message was nothing short of incredible on all fronts: in its tone and atmosphere, as well as its price point. Being marked as free-to-play makes it even more enticing and accessible. The game's macabre story takes us inside a dark and frightening school, where a young woman faces the supernatural dangers that await her. With its unique monster designs and unique plot, this looks like a must-play title for dark, twisted tales and paranormal horror.

Silent Hill 2:

Silent Hill fans rejoiced as they received a two-in-one announcement from Konami. The release date was given for their eagerly anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake, with a glimpse of the ominous gameplay that has come to define the franchise. While it may seem concerning at first glance, with guns-blazing mowdowns and Resident Evil 4 Remake vibes, Silent Hill 2 is best known for its deeper thought, strategy, and emotional impact. Hopefully, we'll get a more true-to-tone trailer closer to launch, with a glimpse of the classic horror and dread that Silent Hill is known for.

Judas:

Coming from the brilliant minds behind Bioshock, Judas appears to be a dark, space-themed horror adventure. The trailer is full of eerie and suspenseful imagery, as it shows people being mixed in with mannequins amid some kind of massive space event. The mannequins seem to be taking over people's lives, even taking selfies with them. Throughout the trailer, we hear a narrator asking questions like "What would you do to free yourself?", to which she responds with "We both know the answer to that. Nothing." The trailer ends with intriguing gameplay visuals, promising an exciting tale of survival and escape.

She proceeds to rant about how we are all being slowly tortured, providing a harrowing sense of hopelessness. The trailer concludes with a variety of impressive game play sequences, providing a glimpse of the unique challenges and set pieces that await in the full game. I'm excited to see where this game goes.

Metro Wwakening Vr:

copyright: Metro and Metro Awakening VR is property of THQ and Deep silver and dimitry glukhovsky.

The Metro franchise is a critically acclaimed survival horror series, based on the popular novels of the same name. The trailer showcases some intense stealth gameplay, where the VR player character sneaking behind enemies, working to free other characters. The trailer reveals some cultists and their plans, along with a peek at an ominous monster, hinting at an exciting adventure. The Metro franchise is known for its rich and immersive setting and atmospheric horror, and this trailer is a great glimpse into what's to come.

legendary tales vr:

Legendary Tales has a retro feel, reminiscent of classic first-person dungeon-crawling RPGs like the original Elder Scrolls games. The trailer showcases numerous gameplay snippets, from fighting off skeletons with melee attacks to joining forces with other players to take down skeletons with more unique items like chairs and skulls in a collaborative approach. The background and dungeon designs are beautifully crafted with stylish models, offering a nostalgic throwback that will no doubt be well received by old-school RPG fans.

dragons dogma 2:

During the VR segment, Sony stunned Capcom fans by announcing the long-awaited Dragon's Dogma 2. The trailer is stunning with its vivid visuals and powerful narration. The trailer showcases the action-RPG's combat system, taking inspiration from games like Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry with its unique spells and UI. The trailer reveals plenty of boss fights, monster encounters, and other gameplay snippets to show off the game's potential. The future looks bright for Dragon's Dogma 2.

rise of the ronin:

copyright: Rise Of The Ronin is property of Sony and Keoi Tecmo

Sony and Koei Tecmo have given us more of a peek into the upcoming historical fantasy action game Rise of the Ronin, which is set during the Warring States period. The trailers reveal a rich and immersive setting, along with some impressive combat moves, such as perfectly-timed parries and breathtaking glides. Additionally, as a party game, Rise of the Ronin seems to provide plenty of fun and intense action, with well-designed enemies and beautiful environments. Sony has proven itself once again as a master of both solo and group experiences, and Rise of the Ronin just may be Sony's next smash hit.

until dawn:

copyright: Until Dawn is property of Supermassive games

Sony is bringing back the terrifying adventures of the Until Dawn franchise in the VR segment, and it's looking truly unnerving. The trailer paints a grim picture of small, creepy shots and dolls, all while a poor innocent woman is crying and being screamed at, and then... *boom*: a massive saw on a chair. Even without having played any of the Until Dawn games, this trailer alone has me intrigued and ready for more. Sony's doing a great job of creating that tension and terror, and I cannot wait to step inside.

death stranding 2:

copyright: Death Stranding and Death Stranding 2 are property of Sony and Kojima games

The event ended on a high note as Kojima Productions took us on a mind-bending adventure with Death Stranding 2. While the trailer was dark and twisted, it definitely kept in tune with Kojima's unique style and arthouse sci-fi horror elements. We see a man being operated on, but his blood is a black, ink-like substance. The scene morphs into something even more intriguing and confusing, as a squid-like figure appears, squirting his inky goo onto the surgeons and nurses. It's a surreal sight to behold, one that really draws you into the story.

Norman is riding inside a flying aircraft, receiving a tour from that very same nurse from earlier. The nurse has a peculiar puppet with a frame-pacing similar to Miles in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse when he has a lower frame rate. It's definitely an interesting detail, but it's also sort of unnerving. And in the end, the octopus-like figure appears eerily similar to The Crow, taunting Norman Reedus with his menacing features and ominous look. The trailer also went too long being a massive 10 minutes in length, that shows a lot.

final fantasy 7 remake

In another unexpected twist of events, Sony officially announced that the following State of Play will focus on the anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Remake. While the idea of getting a glimpse inside the remake of this beloved RPG is definitely enticing, it also feels like something that would have been a welcome surprise. However, this announcement definitely keeps things interesting and shows Sony's continued dedication to its fans and to building up the hype for their upcoming releases.
