Art the clown continues to join his predecessors in a quick pace in this 2d pixel artcade game

Brevity and ethics: I have no affiliation with Terrifier or IGN. They are simply the source of the trailer.

For those unfamiliar, Terrifier is a gruesome slasher film created by Damien Leone known for pushing the boundaries of gore and violence, even surpassing iconic franchises like Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street. The series follows Art the Clown, a disturbing and creative killer with a penchant for grotesque, imaginative kills.

However, what no one expected was a Terrifier-inspired 2D sprite-based beat 'em up game. Styled similarly to the Scott Pilgrim games, this new title offers fast-paced action with a vibrant, pixel-art aesthetic. While the trailer doesn’t reveal much of the story, we do get a glimpse of Art the Clown brutally attacking a couple mid-kiss, followed by a character select screen showcasing four playable characters ready for high-octane combat.

Look out for Artcade, set to release in 2025 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Steam.

Editors note: can't wait to see Chris Jericho in a good game again
